Hercules Movie Review

Hercules  - Well, this film created a huge hype just because Dwayne The Rock Johnson were being cast but it doesn’t meet the expectations. The story has been penned well but it doesn’t have a strong grip towards the audience. I’ve no idea what’s wrong with it but I have a strong feeling that this film is lack of something. Besides that, most of the breathtaking scenes shown in the trailer where he dwells with some big gigantic creatures just lasted for a few seconds. The film seems to be shot in a rush as the whole film it lasted for 98 minutes only. In between there are some good humors to be enjoyed and laughed. After the climax, it will give you a feel like  “ That’s all ? Seriously, the film came to an end? “.

Technically the film was amazing. The CGI work was spectacular, great visual effects and settings as it gives an old Greek classic film. Plus, the way the armies being trained and prepared to face their enemies during the battle was shown well. As for the cast, the whole movie was carried by Dwayne Johnson’s huge shoulder. He trained for almost 8 months to bulk up and get such a muscular body. The role fitted him perfectly with his good body language and fighting skills. The rest of the cast has done their job perfectly. As for Irina Shayk, it was a waste to cast her. She only came for a few scenes. The background score by Fernando Velázquez wasn’t good enough. He could have done it much better.

On the whole, film was average and nothing much to offer. Watch it only for Dwayne Johnson. Will this movie be a blockbuster? Of course, people would die to watch just for Dwayne Johnson. Without him, Hercules is nothing.
